This filter does what it's supposed to do. It's easy to install and is a convenient and effective alternative to using separate filters for wet and dry jobs. While I've heard some complaints that the old wet filters were easier to clean, I haven't found this to be an issue. Make sure this cartridge will fit your particular Shop-Vac model. According to the manufacturer, it does not fit the following models: 1x1, BullDog Portable, Mighty Mini, Hippo, Hang Up Vacs or AllAround Series.--Josh Dettweiler What's in the Box

The Shop-Vac dry/wet cartridge filter I ordered arrived very quickly, good packaging, and it does everything it is supposed to do. Because I had a hard time finding the right filter (Shop-Vac's site didn't really help much) I ordered 2 filters at once. The Shop-Vac is a great product, and has served us for many years, so I'm sure both filters will get used.
This filter is hte best filter for the job and the price is just right.
Like most homeowners I do a variety of jobs around the house that require various tools. However, after using it sporadically over a few months the filter gets clogged with all these various things, especially if there is any moisture. My wet/dry vac is one of the most important tools to me (or more importantly my wife) as it helps me clean up all the messes I make when doing these jobs. This filter does a great job when it is new as it keeps all the dirt/sawdust/leaves/etc I pick up with it in the container. When I try and clean it out it works ok but not great as it just continues to get clogged. Overall it does what it is supposed to I just don't like replacing the filter every few months.
Finally replaced the original filter that came with my 5 gal Shop Vac with this dry/wet cartridge filter and wondered why I waited so long to do it. I used my Shop Vac to vacuum the fur my German Shepards left behind in the garage and it use to smell like a dirty dog everytime I turned it on. Now, with the new catridge filter, no more bad smell and my Shop Vac operates at optimum efficiency.
In stock and arrived fast. Was difficult to find locally even at box stores.
